Graduated in Medicine from the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo in (1981. Three years of Medical Residency in the Department of Pediatrics at FMUSP (third year in Pediatric Nephrology - 1984-1985). Hired as a pediatrician at HU-USP in 1985, leave for two years to train in pediatric nephrology as a "clinical fellow" in the period 1986-1988, at the University of California in Los Angeles, return to HU-USP (July 1988) and subsequent transfer, after a public competition, to the Unit of Pediatric Nephrology at I.Criança HCFMUSP, in 1990. Head of this Unit from 1992 to the present moment, with its structuring in the form necessary for the full development of the area of activity with the creation and development of clinical care and clinical research protocols, among they: percutaneous renal biopsy under humanized real-time ultrasound vision in Pediatrics; diagnosis and management of pediatric arterial hypertension, diagnosis and management of neurogenic and non-neurogenic voiding disorders; installation, training of healthcare staff and clinical management in peritoneal dialysis and pediatric hemodialysis; pediatric kidney transplant; diagnosis and clinical management of rare diseases in Nephrology. Master's degree in Medicine (Pediatrics) from the Department of Pediatrics of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo in 1993. Doctorate in Medicine from the Department of Pediatrics of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo, in 1996. Free teaching, by the Department of Pediatrics of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo, in 2008. Since 1993, full-time 40 hours per week. In the period 2009-2010 Specialization in Medical Education at the regional Institute Faimer Brasil, linked to? Educational Committee for foreign medical graduates? Philadelphia, USA, and the Federal University of Ceará, since 2011 working as a junior professor in that program. Deputy supervisor of the medical residency program of the Department of Pediatrics of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of São Paulo from 2005 to 2008, since 2009 Supervisor of that program. Since 2011, Vice Coordinator of the Medical Residency Committee (COREME) at the USP Faculty of Medicine. From August 2015 Coordinator of COREME at the Faculty of Medicine of USP. Elected in 2011, General Secretary of the Latin American Association of Pediatric Nephrology, regional arm of the International Association of Pediatric Nephrology, with a mandate until 2014, being re-elected to the position with a mandate until 2017
